A home with traditional lap siding and wood shingle accents

The siding of your home has a huge impact on the exterior appeal of your home. Most people have already made a lasting impression of your home before they even step through the front door. Make sure that that impression is a good one! Even with a beautiful interior, a dingy exterior will dampen the beauty of your home considerably. Your siding choice is important and sets the tone for the rest of your home. Here are a few of our favorite siding options for you to consider and think about!

James Hardie

James Hardie siding is one of our absolute favorite siding options, here at Burbach Exteriors. We are one of the leading experts for installation of James Hardie siding! It is a fiber cement siding option. Fiber cement is a durable mixture of cement that includes natural fibers, and can be designed to mimic the look of wood or any other material that you want. This is a great siding option because it can fit absolutely any aesthetic design that you’re hoping to achieve, but it’s incredibly durable, requires little maintenance, and will continue to look great for years.

Mastic’s Vinyl Siding

If you’re interested in Vinyl siding, we absolutely recommend Mastic’s vinyl siding. It offers an incredible warranty, a huge color variety to choose from, and it is the best manufactured vinyl siding that we’ve ever seen in the industry. Vinyl is an incredibly cost effective siding option, and as we mentioned before, you have an incredibly vast array of colors and appearances to choose from. Vinyl can appear dirty more quickly than some other types of siding, but it is incredibly easy to power-wash your siding when it starts to look dirty, and it will look brand new again.

Cedar siding

If you’re going to go with an authentic wooden siding option, we can’t think of a better one than cedar siding! Aside from it being gorgeous, it offers a lot of other benefits! It will protect your home from the elements, increase the value of your home, and is a durable option. With the proper finishing coat, your cedar siding will last for decades. Cedar siding can be installed in the form of horizontal lap panels, or traditional shingles or “shakes”. It can also be painted or treated with different stains and oils, or left untreated in its natural beauty.
